Hello I´m from Buenos Aires, I´m a tennis shoe geek also. I like your shoe reviews very much. I´ve been wearing Asics Resolutions as I also think they´re the best tennis shoes since Res 4 up until Res 7. I´m planning to get my hands on a Rush Pro 4.0 but it´s difficult to get them here due to importation problems, so I can´t try them on. I did get to try a pair of Rush Pro Ace, I thought they were very good but I felt the toe area was too “tall” and didn´t grabbed my forefoot well. My question to you is: are the Rush Pro 4.0 as tall as the Rush Pro Ace at the toe area? Or are they “lower” kinda like the Resolutions?
You may ask why don´t I get a new Resolutions. I´m looking for a similar shoe but lighter. I´m 1,72m and weight 65kg.
Thank you, keep up the good work!!!
Hello to Buenos Aires, I can’t tell, because I did not try the Rush Pro Ace. But I believe the base for the shoe is the same. There are only different in the cushioning and the overall upper design. If you want a light and quick shoe, I highly recommend the new Wilson Kaos Swift 1.5. It’s my shoe for this season and it’s great. Super light, yet stable and the design is just fantastic. Thank you for your comment and keep watching my channel for more!
Hello thanks for the reply!! Yes, I have tried the Wilson Kaos Swift but they were very very narrow for my foot so sadly they´re out of my list. Ok so you haven´t tried the Rush Pro Ace, but can you instead give me you comparison of the Rush Pro 4.0 with the Asics Resolutions? Did you notice any difference at the toe area? That way I would have a closer idea.
Thanks again!!!
I found the Rush Pro 4.0 medium in size in the front. They are not narrow, but not wide. I really like the comfort in the toe area, enough space for most feet I believe. Resolutions might be more narrow or similar.
Hello again, I finally got my hands (or better say feet) on a pair of Rush Pro 4.0 clay. I gotta say I’m dissappointed. After my first 1 1/2hs of hitting the plant of my feet started to hurt. That is not a level of cushioning to be compared with an Asics Gel Reolution like you said. I’ve never had any sort of pain with Asics, just put them on and start playing. I was hoping to find something similar but lighter, but I think I’m problably going to get rid of the Wilsons unfortunately, and go back to Asics.
Well, noticing you haven’t answered I have to asume that you are being paid by brands to promote shoes. It doesn’t shock me but I really thought your post about the rush pro 4.0 was genuine. Anyway, guys listen don’t buy this shoe, it’s stiff as a board, no cushion what so ever.
Hello German, I’m not sure what should I answer. You did not post any question, you just stated that the shoes are not comparable to Asics and that’s it. I don’t know what I should tell you. I’m not paid, I never received a cent from any company. If you feel that the shoes are stiff as board, it’s your opinion which I don’t agree with but I guess every feet is different so it can happen that some shoes feel different to you as well as to me. If my recommendation caused you any problem, I’m sorry for that. With shoes it’s always better to test them out before you buy them. But in todays world there is no problem to return the shoe back. Best, Tennis Guy.
